Creative Letters

So am trying to be a little creative when sending out my pen pal letters.  When I am at work and have a few extra minutes I will grab some sheets of computer paper.  We all know how boring white computer paper starts off looking.  So I try to add some washi tape and cute stickers to jazz the letter up a bit. 

 

I am sending this to a new pen pal.  Sure hope she likes the attempt that I put into her letter. 

Writing snail mail has always been a passion of mine.  I probably started with pen pals in middle school.  I've done it off and on for probably 30 years.  Just seeing a envelope in the mailbox from a friend makes my day so much brighter. 

This letter is awesome! I took it from Pinterest.  She did a awesome job on this letter!!

I would love to be able to use different fonts in my writing.  Which means I would have to practice my handwriting.  Some days I don't feel like I have the time or energy for another creative outlet.

When you write letters do you try to make them more creative?

Outgoing Mail

I really like the bright colorful envelopes that catch your eye.  Using last year calendars is a cheap and fun way to add color to your our going mail. 

Tuesday downer

This morning I get a phone call at 8:30 am from Ms. Shirley asking me to come give her a enema.  OH MY GOD! I have never done this and it was never on my mind to do so EVER!  I am about to throw up in my mouth.  I have made it to be 50 years old with out doing this...I'm not looking forward to this at all.  I do believe I am being punished for all my bad choices growing up. 

I go to Marlow Medicine to pick up enema  and get directions.   It took less than 5 minutes to get it done.  It wasn't hard just the ick factor of doing it.  Before I go on any further YES I wore gloves!  There is no way that I could have gone in that region without gloves.   This is so out of my comfort zone it isn't funny. Once I get to  flower shop  Mildred tells me that I have to call ATT and DEMAND they get a technician out here sooner.  I am like this is not who I am and I do not demand things from others.  Which they know isn't who I am that's not my personality at all.  For one I know who ever I am talking to is just a employee and don't have magical powers to do whatever they want.  Plus I try to live by the motto  do to others as you want them to do to you.  As my moma always said you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. 

Honestly I can't take much more negativity in my face today.  I feel like I'm inches from going over the edge today.  The next step will be going into full fledge depression.  I know me well enough that much more SHIT today I'm going to scream. 

Sure hope everyone else is having a better day than me!!!

Jett is racing!

Jett and Thomas!  Jett won his first race!! Way to go big boy we are so proud of you!  Jett is only 6 years old and is following in his dad's footsteps.   Way to go Jett!  He has

been around race cars and tracks all his life!  My brother Thomas is a dang good driver with a tad bit of a hot head to go with his racing.  He does great during the race season.

Can you tell they are sisters?  They are both beautiful girls.  I have been friends with Kim as long as I can remember.  I also know that Luca is going to be well loved and taken care of by Great Grandma Sue and Grandma Kim and Papa Kevin!

I was honored to be part of Sarah and Luca's special day!  Am anxious to meet Mr. Luca!!

Had Aaron's bonus children's pictures taken for the $th of July. They turned out so darn cute! 

I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July.  I have to admit I am glad it is over.  It seemed like I was on the go from early morning to midnight Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday night. Now am counting down till Friday night!!

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful 4th of July! Tuesday I am off work at the flower shop and I am so excited! I need a free day to do whatever I want!  Which means I will make some fried chicken, potato salad, a pie and cut up some watermelon.  Yummy! 

Around 5 I will do to Ms. Shirley's and get ready for friends and family to show up to watch the fireworks at dusk.

Rock on Oklahoma

We were on our way to Pix Gal Photography Studio when we found our first painted rock here in Marlow Oklahoma.  Aaron wouldn't let the kiddo's take the rock and rehide it.  So I snapped a photo and we put the rock back in the same spot.  I have seen several painted rocks on the local Facebook page but I do believe this rock is the cutest one ever! 

I think I should buy some cheap paint and find some rocks and paint a few for them to hide.  I think that would be a fun weekend project for us. 

ROCK ON MARLOW seems to be growing by leaps and bounds.
