April journal

I will always enjoy doing journals for swaps.  This is just a few pages of the journal.

Spending time writing in the journals is very therapeutic to me.  Am not so creative but sure try to make my pages pop with stickers and such.

If I am not working in a journal I will write letters.  There is nothing like putting pen to paper.  Can’t even tell you how many list I make each week.   I have tried to use notes on my phone and IPad but it’s just not the same.

Once I send my journal on its way, it’s almost like setting a part of me free.  I put a lot of my time and thoughts in my journals.  Do you write in journals? I’ve spent years working in journals. Journal writing is like having your own personal therapist.  No one is going to judge what you write in your journals.
When I write in my journals I do try to include the bad and good.  I know I am blessed and looking for the blessings everyday can lighten my mind.

Mario movie date!

Clifford my 4 year old called me and asked if I would take him to the movies.  How could I tell him no?  So I picked him and Angel up around 4 pm and went to see Mario.

Look at his cute little face.  He is so happy here.  Was so glad that I could treat these two grandkids to a fun evening at the movies.

Angel is a great big sister to her siblings. She had already seen Mario.  But when she asked if she could go also I didn’t hesitate to say of course.  The more the merrier.

This was the last picture of the evening. Love how they have added some cool touches to the theatre.  Can tell The Palace Twin has new owners.  Could see some upgrades with the building. Saying that it’s been many years since I have gone to the Twin Palace in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Mario movie review coming…the movie was super cute.  Brought back memories of when I would play Mario for hours growing up.  The movie just pulled together the story of Mario for me.  Loved seeing the mushroom land and even the evil land.  Clifford and I was both mesmerized with this movie. Definitely can see why Angel wanted to see it again.

Childhood friend Kim

Kim was always so beautiful.  Love and miss her so much.  The stories I could tell on us, but won’t as we sure have some doozies.  When we lived in Colorado we were always up to some sort of shenanigans.

Kim with Sammie Jo and Sarah.

I don’t think I will ever have a friend like Kim.  She was always so much wiser than me.  I always trusted her with secrets.  Sure could use some of her advice right now.  We talked about anything and everything. Was always using her for ideals on new recipes.  She loved to watch cooking shows.
Kim you sure have been missed the last 2 years.  Your girls and son miss you much.

Taco soup

Who loves a good soup on a cool and drizzly day?  Taco soup is one of our favorites to make. It is super simple to make.  I always put it in the crockpot so I can do other chores while it is cooking.

I am not including the recipe as you can google Taco soup recipes and many will pop up for you.  I do brown my hamburger meat before putting in crockpot. Give it a try and it will soon become your favorite.
