Girls Gone Wine Day 3 part 3

Everyone talks about Girl Gone Wine.  I absolutely knew this was on my to do list.  Savannah and I went over after we had a late lunch at Mountain Fork Brewery.  The guys took the boys back to cabin.

We did the free wine tasting.  We tried 9 different wines. My favorite was the Beavers Bend. It was a peach-apricot white wine blend. I have always been more of a white wine drinker on the sweet side.

Was surprised that the wine prices were not expensive.  They even have a bottle of wine that that donate $7.00 from each sale to a scholarship fund.

Just a few pictures of their large gift shop.  They had so much to see in their shop.

Loved all the lotions, soaps and beauty products.

Savannah and I needed a picture of our visit to Girls Gone Wild.  The outside patio is pretty awesome.  I definitely can see making this a highlight of a girls only trip.

Broken Bow Day 3 part 2

Brody and Savannah had been telling us how good the food and beer was at this brewery.  So we decided to eat a late lunch here.

Luther and I both ate the hamburger steak with mushroom gravy, salad and fries. It was really

Very likely if we are back in this area we would eat here again.  Brody had bought some beer back to cabin.  Although I did not try any of the crafted beer.
This post is heavy on pictures.  I must say this trip to Broken Bow has fulfilled my dreams of being here.  Was a great vacation for both Mr. C. and I.

Day 3 Broken Bow

They really like to utilize Big Foot as part of their tourism.

At this particular gift store you will see a portion of the gifts they offer with Big Foot.

Plenty of Big Foot items to choose from featuring Big Foot.  That isn’t my thing at all.

Going to eat breakfast with the family.

I had the western omelette with jalapeƱos.  It came with potatoes and biscuit and gravy.

I couldn’t eat everything, but sure did attempt it.  Sweet tea was really good.  Mr. C. ate over easy eggs, potatoes & sausage and toast and jelly.

Seems like most stores has outside decorations.

I’m crazy about trains.  We are getting ready to take a 30 minute train ride.

Mr. C. And I on a train again.  Although a much smaller train.  Our last train ride was on the Oklahoma Heartland Train.  We went from Pauls Valley to Fort Worth Texas many years ago.

Loco Joe is our train conductor.  He was very informative about Broken Bow history. He did a great job keeping us entertained.

Getting to see the deer up close was a bonus.  So many deer.  Which we can see lots of deer at our local lake.

Lane was happy on his pony ride. Landon did not enjoy the pony ride as he only went one round.

Okie girls coffee and ice cream.  We shared a banana split.  They are making bank at $12.95 for this treat. A 16 ounce shake was $9.95.  My hubbie was wanting a shake but not at that price.

Day 2 Broken Bow part 2

I had heard that the Blue Rooster for quite awhile.  Was happy to be able to give the food a try.

The outside decorations are very cute.  So I knew we were at the correct place.

A Quick Look at the menu’s.

Brody got a Bloody Mary. It looked very good.

Would you believe I forgot once again to take pictures of the food.  We went with 2 pounds of catfish, fries and fried okra. It also came with hush puppies.

Here’s my tray of food.  Liked the convenience of the paper trays, did not have silverware either.  Simple way of serving everyone.  Would say also inexpensive  on overhead expenses.

Brody ordered the appetizer of fried jalapenos and fried pickles.  I especially enjoyed the appetizer.

Brody, Lane, Landon and Savannah enjoying their meal.

The upstairs was cool. Something for everyone to do.  My favorite was the pac man game.  That was one of my favorite arcade games back in my younger days.  Will admit I wasn’t very good playing it today.

Lane and Grampa playing with the games upstairs.  I might be wrong but I think Lane was the winner.šŸ˜‚

Brody grilled out for us. It was so darn good. One of the best steaks I have had in ages.  Normally I need steak sauce, not with this steak.  Food is always better with family members.
