Monday Momentum & NYC Dreams
Good morning, friends! Happy Monday — February 16th!
Can we just pause for a second and talk about how this month is flying by? I feel like we were just flipping the calendar and now we’re halfway through February already. Slow down, 2026.
We had such a good weekend — the kind that’s full but not exhausting. The kind where you go to bed Sunday night feeling grateful instead of drained. I love weekends like that.
Now it’s back to work and I am walking in with intention today.
My focus? Really listening to each member. Slowing down. Letting them talk. Letting them feel heard. My goal is to improve my “saves” today, and I know that starts with confidence. I’ve been thinking a lot about being more assertive — not pushy — but confidently assuming the save.
More along the lines of, “Since you’re paid through this date, I’ll go ahead and keep your membership active and send over an email outlining all your benefits.”
That little shift in language can make such a difference. Sometimes it works beautifully… sometimes not so much. But either way, I need to own the conversation instead of tiptoeing through it. Confidence is something I’m actively working on — and honestly, growth in real time is a little uncomfortable. But that’s okay.
Mr. C. drove me to work this morning, and let me just say — I LOVE being the passenger. There’s something about not having to focus on traffic that feels like a tiny luxury. I scrolled Facebook a bit, thought about blog ideas, and we talked about my upcoming trip to New York City.
Less than eight weeks until I’m in New York City.
That countdown is getting real. Every time we talk about it, I get a little flutter of excitement. It’s so good for my heart to have something fun on the horizon.
After work, it’s real life again — a quick stop at Walmart to pick up some photos and grab a few things for work lunches. Nothing glamorous, but it keeps the week running smoothly. And honestly? There’s something satisfying about getting those small errands checked off.
So here’s to Monday momentum.
To confidence in conversations.
To sweet husbands who drive.
To New York countdowns.
And to finding joy in the ordinary.
I hope you have the best day — and I hope you’ll stop by again soon.
Cheers,
Karen 💛
