Trader Joe’s

- '
Trader Joe’s in Nicholas Hills is my favorite place to buy my healthy foods.  The store is always clean and fully stocked. Down side it’s always busy and can get crowded in the isles.

How festive to see all the colorful flowers as we walk into the store.  Flowers always brighten the day and brings smiles.

I wish I had taken a few more pictures of the shelves.  At this point I was in shopping mode. Yes, of course I had my shopping list with me.  I had a smaller budget than normal this trip. Was glad I was able to pick up everything on my list for under $50.00. I was buying items for my work lunches mainly.
Over all our day was very successful. Enjoyed the day with Mindy.

Oklahoma City Art Museum

Mindy and I are headed to the OKC Art Museum.  I haven’t been in many years and really wanted to go back and see the Dale Chihuly exhibit. I went to The Chihuly Garden and Glass back in August 2015. The trip to Seattle Washington was a weekend filled with lots of museums and sightseeing. I am sure there will be some of the same glass works I already seen. What I hope to do is take more pictures this time. Back in 2015 I didn’t get very many photos of the beautiful glass pieces.

The glass exhibits and art work from Dale Chihuly is amazing. I am truly great full that I got to visit the Oklahoma City Art Museum and see more of his art.
We looked at all the different exhibits and really enjoyed ourselves.  I had seen an art museum scavenger hunt print out that looked cool.  So yes I printed one out and took it with me.  That element was an added fun element as we walked around the museum.  Although I didn’t realize no ink pens were allowed in the exhibits. Yes I put my pen away after I got scolded.  Then of course later I seen several big signs saying no ink pens were allowed.

Afterwards we went to The Collective to eat. We ate at  J.T’s Barbecue and catering.

Easter at the Seaton’s

The Easter goodies for Lane and Landon.  Elizabeth and Charles always put on a great celebration.  We co-grandparents together well.  Our grand boys are loved greatly.

The set up before the food is ready.  I know Elizabeth and Alisha started cooking early in the morning. They are having fried fish, hush puppies,  fried potatoes, beans, Mac and cheese.  For dessert I made my pink fluff salad, brought little cupcakes and cookies.  Alisha made the most amazing lemon bars and banana pudding.  The food was amazing.

The cupcakes are perfect size for the small children.

Kiddos opening up their eggs they hunted.

Uncle Jonathan and Landon gathering up the eggs.

Brody, Savannah and Lane.  Waiting patiently to open up his Easter baskets.

Mr.C watching the outside activities.
Overall the Easter celebration was great!  Am so thankful for everyone in my life.

Okc bombing 30 years ago.

Today marks 30 years since the Oklahoma City bombing~a moment that forever changed our city, state, and our nation. We honor and remember the 168 lives lost, the survivors, the first responders, and all those impacted by the tragedy.
Timothy McVeigh destroyed so many lives on this day. He was an anti-government extremist. He placed the bomb outside the Alfred P. Murray Federal building.
Today President Clinton came to Oklahoma once again to do  a memorial. He has been several times in the past years.
This remains the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in U.S. history.  The bomb was 4000 pounds.  My heart hurts for all the lives that was lost on this day.  As well as so many others that was impacted by this horrible tragedy.
I will continue to remember. Today we pause to honor and remember those affected by the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.

Visiting cousin Daisy

I haven’t seen my cousin Daisy since July 4 2024.  She has been in a group home in Guthrie for years. Our cousin Mike is her guardian.  So on holidays he would go get her and bring her to holidays.  Mike texted me a few days to let me know they were moving Daisy down here.  He let me know Daisy had been asking about me so I told him I would go see her this weekend.
When I walked in she was so happy to see me.  Of course I had to take her a gift.

I picked up a throw in a soft pastel color.  It’s covered in Easter rabbits.  I also picked up an avocado plushie with an eater egg on stomach with purple ears.  It was adorable.  I wanted to give Daisy something she could hug as well keep her warm.  She kept her plushie in her arm the entire time I was visiting her.
My cousin Daisy is mentally challenged.  One thing is she always knows me.  She also knows that when I see her I have a small gift for her.
This is us last 4 th of July. We were at Marlow’s parade.

This picture has our cousin Mike.  I can tell we are getting older when I look at pictures of us.  She didn’t look great at this point.
Mike told me that she had been in Mercy Hospital for quite a while. She told me she had a bad fall and bruise her torso badly.  Mike had told our cousin Trish that she ended up with pneumonia.
I am praying that she completely heals from the fall and being sick in the hospital.

T Ball season

Attending games at the ballpark will be my primary focus this season, and watching Lane and Brooks play is a true delight. I feel fortunate to be able to experience this. They’re both young players four years old and are playing for the first time. I’m eager to see their progress game after game.
Line plays on Lil Skins Red team.  Brooks plays for Lil Rascals team.
This is my sweet Brooks.

Here is Lane

Brooks T ball game

Brooks playing around after the game.  This boy is filled with energy and fun.

Blake and Brooks hanging out.

Hattie has enjoyed playing in the dirt and chasing after her friend Miller. I don’t think she ever slowed down while I was here at the ball field.

Brooks is eager to participate on the field, engaging in hitting, catching and throwing the ball to his teammates. Watching the kids figure out the game can be quite amusing. Brooks was running home and initially headed towards the first base before turning around to make it home. As a proud grandmother, I couldn’t contain my excitement, cheering loudly enough for everyone to hear. After the next game, Mr. C and I plan to treat the team to slushy I also tend to prepare a treat bag for the team, complete with a drink, chips, and a sweet treat. When my boys played ball, I didn’t have the extra funds for such gestures, making it particularly meaningful for me to do this for my grandkids.
