Celebrating 1st anniversary

This was my last drink before heading up to the room.  I haven't had a tequila sunrise in many years.  It was as good as I remembered.

Enjoying first margarita of the night!

Luther is wondering how in the heck did she talk me into coming down for cocktail hour!  He only had one bud light.

We did end up ordering from the cafe.  I did the club sandwich and it was very good.  The cheeseburger  he got was rare and he only took a few bites.  I shared mine with him.

Embassy suites Norman Oklahoma

I always enjoy staying at the Embassy Suites.  I know Luther has never stayed with Embassy Suites.  He prefers staying at motels not hotels.  I have been trying to introduce him into different hotels.
With this being our 1st Anniversary I wanted it to be special.  Luther really was taken back with the suite so I scored!

The hotel room looked to be clean. I found no issues with our room at all.  We really liked the work table as we did spend quite a bit of time talking to one another.

If only my bathroom looked this clean and perfect!  That would make my husband very happy.  Walking into a bright and clutter free bathroom makes all the difference in the world.

The bedding on the bed was slightly heavy.  Luther removed all the bedding on his side and slept with a sheet.  I myself like the weight of the comforter.  As you can see from pictures we had placed our suitcase on the bed and removed to take pictures.  Didn't smooth out the wrinkles.

Overall our experience was a good one at Embassy Suites.  Was it worth the price of $171.00. Yes I do believe so, as this was for our anniversary.  I do know if we were just going to Norman for fun we would have probably went to another hotel.  I can't believe we had to pay for parking which was $12.00.  I know when I travel to big cities they have parking fee's but dang we are here in Norman Oklahoma.

Mellissa's Birthday

Buying birthday gifts for the ladies in my life makes me so happy.  I try to make sure I buy gifts they will use or like.  I also picked Mellissa up some chocolate.  Mellissa had to work so I left her gifts in her car for her.  I know she was truly surprised by her gifts.  Would like to take Mellissa and Kyndall out to ear soon!
I am so lucky to have Mellissa in our lives.
Happy Birthday girl!!!

Keeping Baby Lane

Lane was such a delight to keep.  We got him Saturday afternoon and kept till late Tuesday night.  Here he is getting love from his grandma.  Got to love his cute shirt.  Chilling with grandma.  His grandpa and I have sure enjoyed him spending time with us.

Bath time.. I will be picking up a few bath toys for the house for future visits.  Lane is almost too big for the sink.  He does enjoy splashing the water.

Lane being big boy in grandpapa's chair.  What you can't see is grandpa sitting on floor ready to keep Lane safe.  This little man thinks he is on top of the world.
Am sure we might have spoilt this little guy just a little bit while he was with us the last several days.  Lane is such a good baby.  He has the cutest smile ever!

8th Grandchild

Welcome to the world Mr Landon.
We are already so in love with our precious grandson.

What a  surprise we had on Thursday to hear Savannah was in hospital down near Houston Texas.  We did know they were going down to participate in Brody's mom wedding Friday 14th.  Savannah was at 33 weeks along.
Landon of course is in NICU unit for several weeks.  They inquired about having baby moved to Oklahoma but it didn't get approved.  They stated that the baby was in a better qualified hospital at this point.
Landon was 4 pounds and 10 ounces, 16 1/2 inches long.
I can not wait to see and hold on this little bundle of goodness.  I know we can't go see him due to Covid.  If I thought we could see this baby boy we would take the 6 hour drive to see him.
Welcome Baby Landon we already love you to the moon and back!!

Bible Journaling

I am so excited that I have started this year with doing bible journaling.  It has brought me peace and knowledge about the bible.  I am not a artist at all but I still try to make my pages decorative.  Some of the ladies pages that I see are so very awesome.  I tend to use stickers for my decorations on the pages.

Productive day!

I actually cooked a homemade Lasagna,  salad, cheese toast, and green beans.  Brody and Savannah and baby Lane came out to eat with us.

Bible journaling
I really am enjoying doing my bible journaling each morning.  Luther is also doing his daily devotional.

Brody's old room.  This is the before pictures of the room.  Today I am determined to get his room rearranged.  This is the room that I plan on using for grandbabies when they stay the night. Thankfully we kept the dish network working in this room so they can watch tv as well.

Need to get this small baby bed up and ready for new baby coming soon.

I went with the Paris theme.  I actually had all the pictures and decor stored in shop.  I do need to order a new comforter set with curtains at some point.  Although I am ok with this set that I have had for years.  I also will buy a few more Paris throw pillows for the bed.
Let me tell you that this redo on this room took a little longer than Luther and I was expecting.  We took the dresser out of Alisha's room to put in this room so we could set the TV on it.   I definitely will buy new curtains soon to go over these black curtains.
Do you have any ideals on what else I need to add to this room?   I am so excited to start doing some decluttering in our house.  The next room will be Alisha's room.  I also need to buy a  twin mattress for her bedroom.  I do not know what happened to the mattress that was in her room. Just baffles me, am thinking maybe Brody took it when he moved in with Savannah. I may ask Luther at some point.

Sunset in Oklahoma at Clear Creek Lake

Looking at this sunset  reminds me of God's promises to us.  The beauty of this sunset is breathtaking.

I always find peace near the water.  Doesn't matter how small or big the body of water should be.

Wish I could take credit for these beautiful pictures but can not. David Cook is a amazing photographer.  I wish I had a eye to take great pictures.
Thanks David for letting me use your "art work"!!

Work friends

Today is the day we wore our animal print clothes. Mindy is a hoot to be around. I have treasured her as my friend at work for 3 years.
