4 things Sunday

                                   4 Things

It is that time again! Haven't thought much about this week's goals.  I do know I want to shake things up a little.  So here we go...

1.   Start a personal journal.

2.    Cut 2 inches off of my hair and have it highlighted.

3.   Plan a small bbq for 4th of July

4.   Read a hardback book. (The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey)   I have been reading my books
       on my tablet.

See I told you I had some new goals this Sunday!  Today I am going to have a lazy day.  I so need to get several pen pal letters wrote and a few envelopes of friendship books sent out!

Aunt Ginger 2014

This was taken driving thru Dallas Texas.. Aunt Kathy and I went to see Aunt Ginger and Uncle David.  We had a nice relaxing time.

When we came home on Sunday we ran into a nice rain storm.  Was totally glad Aunt Kathy was doing the driving!! Going down to Houston Tx and coming home I was so surprised that we didn't have crazy traffic.  That made the trip so much better for us.  You know how small town drivers can be? Right?!?  I tend to think I  OWN all the road which I know isn't the truth.  Poor Luther gets in the car with me and holds on for dear life, he says I get behind the wheel of a car and turn into John Force racing team!! He is such a comedian sometimes.  I can't help that I tend to have a lead foot with a destination in mind when  I get in the car! LOL

We were at Aunt Ginger's from June 19th thru June 22nd.  Again I have to say it was a great visit with her.  I always feel blessed to spend time with her.

4 Things

                           FOUR THINGS

It's time again for my weekly 4 Things list!!

Yes it does help me to get things done.  Before I get my list going let me tell you what  I accomplished this past week.  I got my 5 letters wrote, had a garage sale and made some extra money, cleaned out back of my car and am in the ongoing process to work on my finances.  Oh I almost forgot I took a truck and car full of stuff to Goodwill (including the entertainment center.) Wow it feels good to be letting go of old and useless clutter!  It's a work in progress but am so ready to get my house back in order.

Here's my list:

1.    Write 5 pen pal letters
2.    Drink a gallon of water a day
3.    Get new set of nails
4.    Have lunch with my friend Cherrie

The hardest thing on this list will be drinking the gallon of water.  When I drink water I can tell the difference in how I feel.  Would love to tell you I love water but I don't.

Everyone have a great week!

Postcrossing

                                        I Love Postcards!!

I am a member of Postcrossing.com  and I love it!!  I have been a member for 1859 days!! Which is over 5 years.  I have sent out 174 postcards.  Most of them being international.  Start adding up the postage and wow its not a inexpensive hobby.

Here's a few postcards I tend to send on a regular basis.  I am proud to be a Oklahoman so I do send out mostly tourist type postcards.

I think the children dressed in native American costumes.  I have had lots of request for this postcard.   I tend to do a lot of direct swaps with postcrossing friends. I like doing the one on one postcard trades. Seems a little more personal.

Anyways go check this site out if you would like to receive random postcards from all over the world!

Bourbon Balls

               Kentucky Bourbon Balls

Directions

  1. Place the nuts in a sealable jar. Pour the bourbon over the nuts. Seal and allow to soak overnight.
  2. Mix the butter and sugar; fold in the soaked nuts. Form into 3/4" balls and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Line a tray with waxed paper. Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over just-barely simmering water, stirring frequently and scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to avoid scorching. Roll the balls in the melted chocolate to coat; arrange on the prepared tray. Store in refrigerator until serving.

I will tell you these are so good and very easy to make!  In fact what are you waiting for?  Go gather up the supplies and get these awesome Bourbon balls made!

Four things

Four Things I haven't done this in awhile. I wanted to get back in the habit because I feel like it keeps me accountable. So here goes my weekly list! 1. Write 5 letters this week. One of them to my brother Lonnie!! 2. I want to post 3 items on buy sell trade to get them out of house. I have a stand up mirror, a entertainment center and a box of books. 3. Get Aaron to detail my car!! I must clean out the back of the car myself. I have stuff that needs to go to goodwill!! 4. Get my finances in order. Which means I need to start writing down every penny I spend. I am so lax when it comes to my own personal money. Where I know pretty much what our household account has in it at all times...uugh So here it is folks my list for the week! I really need to get busy and get it accomplished! Here's to a great week!!

Overwhelmed with journal swaps!

Over at swap bot I am currently doing 4 journal swaps. A little to late to say oops thats about 2 too many at one time! Yes it's going to be a challenge, but I know I can get them done. I love doing journals but after these are done no more than 2 at a time for me. I can't seem to get my creative juices flowing. Can anyone help me out by directing me to some cool creative places on the internet? I would love to find some inspiration and get back to be as creative as I can. As most of you know I am not a artist at all can hardly draw a stick figure...lol Well guess I am going to grab a journal and work in it for awhile. Especially since the house is still quiet. Have a awesome day my friends!

Blake getting four wisdom teeth

I took Blake to the oral surgeon Thursday June 5th. They removed all four of his wisdom teeth. He did so very good with it all. I can't believe how strong willed Blake can be. Jessica his girlfriend went with us and let me tell you she is a trooper. She crawled in the backseat and fed him a milkshake and took care of him. I am so liking her a lot! When we got home we went to fill his four prescriptions but that took forever so I went ahead and took them to his house. Jessica went back and picked them up before they closed. Jessica took a day off to be with Blake today. Isn't that so very nice and thoughtful?
