Getting creative!

This is my brother Lonnie's Harley he just bought. I am waiting to get a ride on it! Lonnie is usually a 4~wheeler type of guy so this threw us by surprise. My boys were real surprised by Uncle Lonnie's new ride, as they all took turns getting a ride.

This is a package I sent for the Fall Color Swap. I went mostly with orange. I then wrapped it up in purple tissue. Was fun trying to find different objects in orange for this swap. I have 3 swaps that go out in the mail today. I also wrote one pen~pal letter. Since I have been seeing some amazing mail art on flickr I am doing my best not to send plain envelopes in the mail. So I pulled out a wallpaper sample book and have made a few envies up so I have them on hand to send out.

Tonight is Rush Springs, Oklahoma junior high homecoming. We picked up Alisha's dress, shoes and jewelry yesterday. Then we went and had our nails done. The day turned out to be very pleasant for us. Of course we dragged her dad around with us. Mr. C. stayed in the truck while we had our nails done. Alisha looked amazing in her dress!!!

Linda's Flowers in Marlow Oklahoma has a lot of dresses that she rents and sells. Tammie has the eye for formals. The best thing is she has all sizes from 0~22. We would have been looking all over Oklahoma and Texas for a dress for Alisha if we hadn't known about

Bright Coloured Envelopes

I have been working on some outgoing mail for swap~bot. I am trying to make my envelopes more colorful. Getting a colorful envie in the mail is so much fun. Here is a photo of a swap I put together for Fall Color Swap. I went mainly with orange. Thought it turned out cute.

Friday is here!!

I am so glad it is Friday! Tomorrow is the big wedding day for Laci and Tyler. The Church is decorated and today is the day to decorate for the reception. Tonight is the rehearsal dinner. Should be lots of fun. They went with fall theme colors. Turned out gorgous!

Today we have to pay bills and do our normal routine. Mr. C has to work Saturday and Sunday. He is training on a joystick rig. He has been using the top drive so this will be a little different for him and his hands. The best part is they will be coming back to Oklahoma. Two years working in Lousianna was way too long. Lot's of miles on the vehicles, that is for sure.

Am sending off two swaps for swap bot. Am sending Tea~rrific and the Fall & Winter tea sampler. Am hoping I get some swap~bot mail today. Love when I get a full mailbox of goodies from swap~bot partners.

Am going to be thinking somewhere I can take the boys for fall break that is coming up this week. I may take them to Six Flags over Texas for the weekend. Trevor already has his season pass and that would just leave tickets for Aaron and I. They may choose to do something else like camping. Which wouldn't be too bad.

Here's a new recipe I tried last night and we all agreed it was wonderful!!

Slow Cooked Pizza in a pot

1 1/2 lb ground beef 3 c. pasta twist cooked and drained
1 chopped green pepper (6oz) sliced pepperoni
1 chopped onion 2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce 1 (14 oz) can pizza sauce
1 sm can of rotel

In skillet, cook beef, green pepper, and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add tomato sauce, pizza sauce, and rotel; mix well. In a slow cooker, place ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or until heated through.

So easy to make and it will probably become a family favorite for us.

Cleaning Frenzy

I thought I would clean my house today. It won't take that long to get it done but I usually put off cleaning till Thursday right before Mr. C. gets home from La. This week is going to be super busy getting ready for Laci's wedding on Saturday. We have got most everything done but we still have odds and ends to finish. Laci is Tammy's daughter (my friend who owns a flower shop in Marlow). Anyhow I thought that by doing all I can today would ease my mind if I help Thursday at the flower shop. I also at some point either today or tomorrow need to cook and freeze a couple of meals for the week Mr. C is home. I have never done that sort of thing before but it sure is handy. Have found out I don't mind cooking 2 main dishes at once and freezing one of them for later. The whole cleanup is easier or so it seems. I also like the fact if we are busy I can take something out of the freezer and pop in oven and we have a good meal in a few minutes. Now I must find some healthy good meals to cook. We are going to get back on a healthier diet.

Here is Jake. Jake is my step mom's big ole baby. We have had him for years and he is a sweetie. He can be protective of the family at times. If Jake don't know you he won't let you in the house. Which is good for my step mom!

I have a couple of swaps on the table I need to put together at some point today. I have 3 tea swaps that I need to get ready to send. I also have a penpal letter and some happy mail to send out Monday morning. Made my happy mail out of a calendar I bought for $1.00 at the Dollar Tree just for this swap. The main requirement was it had to be a decorated envie. So I used a colorful page and added a few bird stickers on the envelope. Thought they turned out cute and colorful.

Song Lyric Journal pictures

I really enjoyed doing this journal. I could probably make more because there is so many songs I like. I tend to make simple stuff and this was simple and fun to do!!

Making Envelopes

Today I made some homemade envelopes using a large space book I bought at Hastings store last night. The book only cost $2.99! I made about 5 envies. I actually even took pictures:)

Today is OU vs Texas game. So that is what Mr. C is watching while I put together some swap bot swaps to get ready for the mail Monday morning. It has been a good day for me to finish up on some projects.

Trevor is playing football at Minco Okla. I didn't go but Papa Kendall and Aaron went. I need to be more of a sports moma. I just feel like I could be doing something else instead of watching football or baseball. I am a lot better than I use to be about attending the events, so that is a great thing!
