Happy 31st Birthday Brody!

Brody with his cakes.  Thankfully the rain stopped so we could enjoy the rest of the celebration.  The view is great as I enjoy the water.

Mr. C. And I just enjoying visiting with everyone.  A random picture of us enjoying life. I treasure the photos that we have of us.  There isn’t many that is for sure.

The children had fun chasing each other.  Sure wish I had some of their energy.  I don’t think they slowed down the entire time we were at lake.

I must admit I really enjoyed the afternoon at Lake Taylor.  Making memories and getting together with others always makes my heart happy.  I am hoping to spend more time at the lake.  Since I do have my fishing license all I will need is my lake permit for the summer.  The lake permit will be $17.00 for a year that covers Mr. C. and me.

Lake Taylor

Today I asked Mr. C if we could drive around our local lake.  We hadn’t done that in awhile.  I enjoy looking at the water and wildlife.  It just seems to bring me inner peace.
Lately I can tell that I am getting in a dark funk and I need to work on my self to stop that downward spiral.  Driving out to the lake and spending some time relaxing is so beneficial to my soul.

This pier is new from our last visit.  Am so proud of all the improvements that Lake Taylor is making.  The groundskeeper has been really on top of things. He actually seems to like what he is doing and it shows.

Love seeing the Canadian Geese family.  Spring time is great to see babies of all kinds.  On the drive over to the lake I seen several cows and baby calves.  Spring is for new beginnings.  I think it’s probably one of my favorite seasons.  Do you have any spring traditions?  We like going to the zoo in the spring before it gets too hot to enjoy.  We take a picnic lunch and just take our time wondering around.  Our Oklahoma City zoo has grown much bigger than when I was a child.
