My blog is a collection of me rambling on about my home life. I like to share a few photos and recipes and hopefully some crafts as I go along. I am a simple country gal with a wonderful family and lots of great friends.

Rainy Morning
This morning around 4:30 am I heard thunder. Love to hear the pit pat of rain drops hit my huge window in the bedroom with the big ole' boom of thunder mixed in with it.. At 7am I really just wanted to stay in bed and read a good ole' book of some kind. In the perfect world that would have happened for me. Now days I have to drag my big ole' butt out of bed. Sometimes being a working woman just bites!
So off to work I head. Although I have to say working in a flower shop can be a very interesting day. I enjoy seeing the bright and beautiful flowers and smelling the sweet scents of the flowers. It has been a wonderful job and I am sad to say we are going to be moving on to a new adventure soon. More details on that within a month or so.
I have been working on two journals over at Swap Bot .com Wish I could say my journals looked as cool as this page. I try hard but not quite there yet. Although I have gone outside my comfort zone to try to make the journals a tad bit more visual this go around.
Gosh I feel like I could take a nap right about now. It's 3:20pm and I just have no energy at all! I need to get my B12 shot asap. Am hoping that will help me gain some energy.
What's for dinner tonight? Mr. C. is cooking baked chicken and frozen veggies with macaroni & cheese. Hurry up 5:30 pm so I can roll up to the house in time for dinner.
Everyone have a great day!!

Visit to Chihuly’s Garden and Glass
I was very fortunate to visit Seattle Washington with my Aunt Kathy, Melissa and Crystal. I knew I wanted to see Chihuly’s glass works. I was very impressed with all the beautiful exhibits. I had no ideal how massive his collection would be. I wish I had taken more photos while looking. I think I got caught up in the moment. The pictures I have are not the greatest.

Alisha at OBU
It's amazing that Mr. C.s baby girl is going off to college! This week she is doing cheer camp. Then she moves into her dorm this coming week. We are so proud of her. I though I had photo's of her so I could show you her in her new cheerleader outfit.

The Chapel is beautiful!

Alisha's dorm is just to the right of the chapel. So she is really close to it.
Am hoping all Alisha's dreams come true for her. We are so excited to see what this new chapter holds for her!!

2nd day of vacation
We get up and around and head back to Portland Oregon from Vancouver Washington. First order of business is going to a food truck park! Anyone who knows me knows I have a huge interest in food trucks. I have dreamed of operating one in the past.. I found A South Carolina BBQ truck. So I got me a huge BBQ sandwich and let me tell you it was amazing. Although they don't believe in going heavy on the sauce. Which was kind of a shock to me. I also got a side of sweet potato salad which I didn't like as the color of it was a light pinkish color. Uugh I need my potato salad to be yellow...
I ended up trying a bite of the funky colored potato salad and nope not what I like at all. Insert a bit of bragging here I make a GREAT potato salad like my Grandma Pearl and mom made back in the day!
After we all ate we then we went sightseeing. Had to go into Flannigan Toy Store. Sure was glad my little Logan wasn't with me. He would have had a ball! I bought several items in there and could have bought way more! I just knew I couldn't go overboard because my luggage was already past full!
Aunt Kathy and Me
Voodoo Doughnuts!
Have you been to Voodoo Doughnuts? If you haven't you sure are missing a experience! I really loved the décor as well as the yummy doughnuts.
Cute bike rack we saw on our sightseeing adventure. How super cool is a big ole' wire whisk for a bike rack?
Asian Market
So every time I would see my cousin post about going to her Asian Market I was like I so want to go there. Yes we made it happen. I spent quite a bit of money in here. Wish I knew of one close to me. Either at Oklahoma City or Dallas Texas. I would make a trip every so often to go get some cool goodies.
After a full day of sightseeing we headed back to the house. Had a wonderful fun filled day in Portland Oregon.

West Coast Vacation
I flew into Portland Oregon July 21 2015. I went with my Aunt Kathy to go see her daughter Melissa who lives in Vancouver Washington.
Southwest Airlines Rocks!!
Unfortunately while we was flying I started to feel very sick.. Are you serious? All I could think of was here I am away from home and I have no clue what is wrong. then I was thinking OH NO please don't let me be contagious. I would have felt horrible if that was the case. Needless to say I wasn't contagious. I think it was from the excitement of going to Washington and it was close to my time of the month. Just a mix of things.
We fly into PDX Portland Oregon. Where Melissa and Crystal met us with open arms. It had been over a year since Aunt Kathy had seen her daughter Melissa. So you know they were both very excited for today to be here.
We made a few stops before we got to their apartment. One was at a thrift store which was really cool. Then we ate at Shari's restaurant.
I had the potato soup which was so very good! I hear it is a very popular restaurant in Washington State. I would definitely eat there again. Too bad I wasn't feeling so good cause the pies looked awesome!
Here's to the rocky start of my first day of vacation.

Alisha Graduation
Alisha graduates tonight! We are so proud of the young lady she has turned out to be. Seems like yesterday when she came into my life. She was 6 years old. She has excelled in school. Not only with her school work but Cheerleading and Track.
Her scholarships totaled $53,000. What a blessing that will be to her. She is enrolled at OBU and will be a cheerleader as well.

Alisha is beautiful both on the inside and outside. She is a awesome young lady. Am proud to call her my bonus daughter!

Cozumel Mexico
Enjoyed looking at the plants and flowers.
Cozumel Mexico
I did take photos but I need to figure out how to get them over here...lol
Nancy and I did the Dolphin encounter. Which was okay. I am not sure if I liked the dolphin kissing me. Although the crowd got a laugh out of it when he tried to French kiss me. Uugh!! I would tell you that if you had always wanted to kiss a dolphin then this is the excursion for you. If I took Logan with me then I would do this again. We had food and drinks included with the excursion. The food was okay but not wonderful. I wish I had went ahead and bought a photo of me and the dolphin and didn't. Oh well. I will always have the memories.
My next cruise I plan on taking a lot more photos! I realized I didn't take near enough. Guess I got caught up in what I was doing and just forgot to snap away. So many different things I will do on my next cruise. Of course I didn't get to do everything I wanted so I see me attempting to take one cruise a year...If I go off season I can go solo (which fits me to a tee). Prices are so much cheaper October thru April. But with me work schedule I can not do another April cruise. They were so darn busy while I was gone that they will tie me to a chair if I attempt vacation January thru May. LOL
My only wish is that Mr. C. would go with me. Which will never happen. He would not enjoy the ship at al. He isn't as adventurous as I am. If he can't drive to the destination in 3 hours or less he isn't happy. Me if traveling was free you'd never see me again. I would go and explore everywhere!
So I will tell you this extra weight I am carrying around did affect my sightseeing. I so need to start exercising but don't. Around home and work it doesn't seem to bother me much. Walking the pier and touring The Uxmal Ruins was difficult on me. I hate that I let my self get extremely out of shape.
