Shoulder surgery

Me before surgery.  I had no clue what to expect after surgery.  I honestly thought I was going to feel good and would be able to eat.
Also quick question why do they make you get completely naked for shoulder surgery?  All I can think of is the Dr’s are perverts.. just kidding.  I just thought that was odd.
My BFF Cherrie drove me up to OU Hospital in Edmond Oklahoma.  We got there around 11:30 am.  My check in time was at 12:30.  Heck they had me in my room before then.  We left hospital at 7pm.

Got sent home with no medication at all.  But thankfully the nerve block worked all night. I pray that this shoulder surgery does the trick.  Now on to a lengthy recovery period.  Am not looking forward to physical therapy but I’m going to do everything they tell me to do.  Even if it’s uncomfortable and hard.  I want this shoulder to be better in the future.

Kyndall Christmas 2023

Kyndall opening her Christmas presents from Papa and Nana.  This little princess is just like her daddy with the peace symbol.

Mellissa and Kyndall loving at the gifts.

Looking at her Frozen doll. She has always loved watching the Frozen movies.

We went to eat at a Chinese restaurant. So very yummy.  Was a good choice for all of us.  Although Kyndall wanted to play with her doll instead of eating.

My, friend Mindy came with me to Dallas Texas.  It’s a three hour drive.  I sure enjoyed her company.  If I  was going to stay the night I would have went by myself.  Am hoping I can go back in a few months for the weekend.  I need more time with Kyndall.
Kyndall has asked several times to go to the park and ride the train.  We haven’t done that yet.  Just need to find a good children’s park to spend a few hours.  Maybe pack a lunch for us.  If Mellissa wants to be with us great if not that would be cool as well.
There is a train station close by as well.  I’d really like for us to ride over to the Dallas art Museum.  If I’m not mistaken the admission is free.  They also have some children exhibits as well.

Nana and Max

Look at sweet baby Max. He is my youngest grandson.  Any chance I get to see him I take.  He is growing up way too fast.  In March he will turn 1 year old.  I really need to have Clifford and Max come over for a sleepover.  Angel and Wesley could come as well if they wanted.
The other kids was at school when I went over to Michelle’s.  I had taken a walker over for Max.  It was practically new.  We had bought it for Landon and he didn’t use it much at all.
It’s always great to get hugs and kisses from our sweet grandchildren.

Prize won from work

Every month we have new incentives at work .  It’s to motivate us and keep us focused on doing the best we can.  Working in the retention department isn’t easy that’s for sure.  We have a daily/monthly quota we must meet.  Some months are much harder than others.
To win this TV you had to have most improved saves.  Apparently I busted my rear and did what I needed to do.  I was so proud of myself.  I haven’t won anything in a long while.
Now I really must try to keep the momentum going.  Sometimes I am the one holding back.  When I keep hearing the members say no I give up and don’t continue pushing them.  I definitely do not like being the one who pushes, but you have to in this department.
The TV value is $100.00 USA dollars.

Christmas 2023

Out tree with some of our gifts.  Most of the gifts are in guest room.  We needed room to walk. Especially when you buy gifts are 20 immediate family members.

This is Clifford’s ornament.  Can’t wait to buy ornaments for each child of their current favorite.

My gift's from Mr. C

Some of the gifts from kids.  One of the Amazon gift cards for $100 is from Mr. C  I was so blessed this year.  Loved all my gifts.   There have been years I only got a few gifts and some I was blessed beyond measure.  I am always grateful just to spend time with my love ones.  I will always remember the reason we celebrate Christmas.

Love all the photo’s Jessica has taken of the kiddo’s.  These babies are so photogenic.  I normally will save photos off of Facebook and print them.  I have a family wall where I will hang them.
Christmas is such a magical holiday.

Chickasha Festival of Lights

Michelle called and asked if I wanted to go see the lights in Chickasha.  Yes! Yes! I was so excited to go with the grandchildren and Michelle.  I haven’t been to the lights in several years.  This year will be the first that I have actually walked thru the lights.

Seeing the lights reflect off the water was so beautiful. Am glad my camera picked up the reflection as well as it did.  People from everywhere come to see these lights.

Baby Max and I.  He is my youngest grandson.

Had to take a photo on the bridge with all the lights.  I felt like the bridge area was enchanted with all the fairy lights. The workers didn’t give us much time to take any pictures.

Wesley and Angel.

The photo of Michelle and kids.  Didn’t turn out the best.  Am glad I snapped it anyways. So glad Michelle thought about me and invited me along.  Making memories with my grandchildren is very important to me.
