Kyndall Mae

Kyndall Mae is growing up so fast!  I love this little bench.  In my mind I was going to keep it decorated with cute items. Unfortunately our neighbor's dogs kept dragging my stuff all over the  country side.  So Kyndall and I use it as our photo bench. I do need to update my big wreath.  I have had it for years.  

I absolutely believe the most rewarding joys of life is grandchildren.. 

For me being a grandma to Kyndall has filled my heart with joy and love. Kyndall is remarkable and a delight to be around.  

At nana and papa's house Ms. Kyndall tells us what she wants to do.  Every now and then papa will tell her no and she turns the water works on not realizing that probably isn't going to help her much.  She can be a bit dramatic at 3 years old.

Lately we have been watching the grandsons on alternating Saturday's.  Getting time with these precious boys.  Lane and I enjoy the building blocks.  Then he and I will drum on the end table driving papa nearly crazy.  

It's so different than having your own children.  Love spoiling our precious grandchildren.  

I really need to find more boy trucks and toys for the house.  I have accumulated lots of girl toys. Am thinking this summer I will start to do some garage sales again.  It's been forever since I have done any garage sales.  For one I do have plenty of my own stuff.  But it would be nice to find some great toys at a reasonable cost.

This quote hit me so hard!  I feel this every single time I see one of my grandchildren.  We are so blessed with our children and grandchildren.

This girl has always had my heart.  When she was little I made Allison, Kara and her quilts.  She said to me Aunt Sissy I need another quilt please.  Yes of course I made her another quilt.  That has been many years ago.  

Look out world I can't wait to see what all is in store for my beautiful, sweet, generous niece has in store.  I know she is going to do great things! My heart is so happy for who Kirsten has become.

County living

Living out in the country can be peaceful and very calming.  I enjoy seeing the ducks and turkeys and such come around our yard.  

In the evenings I enjoy sitting under the carport and watching the animals wonder about. They belong to our neighbor. Although I think they believe they live on our land.

Just living is not enough...one must have sunshine, freedom, and some animals to make one's life complete! 

I will never doubt that God has gotten me through every hard moment in my life. God definitely knew what  he was doing when he placed me in the country. I have enjoyed how calming it is to be out here with neighbors I know by name.  I can see God's blessings everywhere. 

 

Birthday month!!!

Blake and Jessica took us out to eat for my birthday! I am so blessed. We had a great time and lots of laughter.

I enjoy celebrating my birthday every year.  Getting together with the family was the highlight of the birthday month.  Am so thankful for my family and friends!!

How do I feel about turning 55 this year?  I am always surprised that I made it to 2022!  

My gift to me is I am going on a cruise in November.  Everyone who knows me knows CRUISE LIFE is the best.  Love the pampering and just being on vacation makes it so fun and relaxing.

College graduation for Savannah.

We are so proud of Savannah and all her accomplishments.  She has struggled getting thru college. On personal note she has had two preemie babies and being a housewife.  She has really kept on top of personal life and college studies.  Can't wait to see where her journey takes her thru life.

A great turn out for graduation ceremony.  Way to go Savannah!!!  .

 

Canvas Prints

I am in love with making these canvas prints! This is one of my favorite pictures from the cruise. This is the first canvas print I attempted to make.  

Alisha and Brody's canvas print turned out nice as well.  I can't wait to get more pictures so I can do a entire wall with photo's of the family.  

I bought a 6 pack of 8x10 canvas's, black paint and modge podge. First I painted the canvase edges black and let dry.  Then I covered the canvas in modge podge and placed picture on canvas.  Once that had dried I applied modge podge on top of photo.  Don't do as I did which I got a little heavy handed on the modge podge in the first picture.  Still felt like the canvas pictures turned out decent.  

I am thinking I should make some of these for the kids for Christmas gifts.  They would all love them.
