3rd day North Dakota

Baby Liam is so precious.  Making memories with my family.
Mellissa is really outdoing herself with her cooking skills.

The Wild Cow Coffee and Cream store.  Is a fun place to visit. They have a cool kids play area that Kyndall really enjoyed.

This is a cute picture of Kyndall.

The decor was nicely done. I am a huge fan of cow print.

The vision for Wild Cow really speaks to my soul.

The drinks are extremely good. Has to be my favorite coffee place in Watford City, ND.

Kyndall taking a moment to appreciate her treat.

Thanks Wild Cow for your hospitality.

Being here with Trevor and his family has been a blessing. I am greatly honored they flew me out to have this time with them. This was my first trip to North Dakota and I am enjoying every day I am here.

While we were out and about Mellisa had a 15 bean soup on in crock pot. It was a much needed hot meal. It is still winter here. Have T seen this much snow on the ground in years.

My bowl of bean soup.

2nd day in North Dakota

My daughter in law Mellissa is a great cook.  Mellissa is half Indian and half Mexican and she does have skills in the kitchen.

Nana getting snuggles from baby Liam. This little guy is super quiet. He might like being held a lot.  I was all about holding and getting love from my newest grandson. He is really a good baby, doesn’t cry a lot and does like to be held. Definitely worth the trip to meet him!
Nana had to have a few selfies with Liam.  I always say pictures or it didn’t happen. I did want to document my time in North Dakota. This was my first time to North Dakota and am going to enjoy my time here.

This is hanging outside on the Long X visitor center.  Cute place to browse. Found my shot glass and postcards here.  They also serve ice cream as well.

I had this store on my list to visit so am glad we did get to it.  Was cute and they do a lot of children’s activities.Sure hope Mellissa will take Kyndall to some of the fun activities.

Bundled up from the cold North Dakota had lots of snow on the ground. I had told Trevor I wasn’t coming to visit till after snow was gone. Yes I totally went and was slightly cold because their weather is so different than our Oklahoma weather.

Mellissa and Kyndall posing for Nana.

Kyndall was so glad to see Nana! Making memories with grandchildren is so important. I’m already trying to figure out my next trip to visit and I haven’t even left yet.

My first iced coffee here in North Dakota. It was very good.  My goal is to visit most of the coffee shops in their town.
We went thrifting at their local thrift store. It’s called Bakker Oil Rush Thrift Store. They help in the community quite a bit.  I was impressed with the prices and all the different options they carried.

They really had a great inventory. Many cool home decorations and clothes. Among other assorted items.
This morning Mellissa made pancakes and bacon. Dang I need to get a waffle maker for my house. Was fast and easy and so yummy.

Mellissa and Trevor are spoiling me greatly!  Mellissa really went all out for my visit. I am so blessed she is in my life.

Doc Hollidays Roadhouse

Trevor and Mellissa and kids picked me up from airport.  We then went to to Walmart for grocery pickup.  Afterwards we then went to have lunch at Doc Hollidays Roadhouse.  The decor was very cool. So much to see especially in the ceiling area of the restaurant. Wish I had taken more pictures of the decorations.

Kyndall sure has missed me.  Probably not as much as I have missed her. This girl right here has my heart.  Made my heart happy to see her.

Kyndall posing for Nana.

Trevor and Mellissa

This was so good.  Chicken and baked potato

The decorations was spot on.  Really enjoyed how they decorated the bathrooms.

This was as we first walked into the restaurant. You know I would take a picture of the motorcycle.

Many statues outside around the building

Dinner time! Melissa made some great tacos for us.

Love my little princess so much! Am so glad I am getting to spend time with Kyndall, Liam and of course Trevor and Mellissa. Many thanks to Trevor and Mellissa for making this trip possible. Y’all already know I am planning my next trip in fall!

Leaving for Watford City North Dakota!

I am so excited about going to Watford City ND!  Can’t wait to see the newest grandchild Liam.  Kyndall sure has missed her Nana.
I got to airport 2 hours early like it says to do.  I think I could have got there only a hour ahead and been just fine.  But I didn’t want to risk not getting to my destination.

I always take a picture of where my vehicle is parked.  I remember years ago of parking at Denver’s airport parking and not finding car for 30 minutes or so.  Was on wrong level.  I vowed then that I would not do that again.  Some life lessons we have to learn the hard way.

My layover is in Minneapolis.  When I seen how huge the airport was from the plane I got scared I wouldn’t make the connecting flight.  Thank goodness the gate was only 2 gates from where I debarked.  My layover was only 30 minutes so it could have been pretty intense if the new gate was on opposite side of the airport.   The plane was so small, as Mr. C would say a sardine can.  The one good thing is this flight was not full.  My seat mate Ricardo was extremely nice and we had a great visit.  He also was going to visit his grandchildren. As many of you might know I never meet a stranger.
The best part of the trip is Trevor and Mellissa took Kyndall out of school and surprised both of us.  I was so happy to see everyone.  When we was loading my luggage I heard Mellissa say something but thought she was talking to baby Liam. When I got in the Jeep Kyndall said “surprise Nana!” I was so happy to see hers.

Brooks 4 th birthday party

Nana with birthday boy.  Brooks had such a good time at his party.  More people showed up than expected. He had a great turnout.  Nana and papa bought him a RC truck and a medium size nerf gun. He requested the nerf gun.  Am glad he received several more nerf guns.  That made Brooks very happy.

I ordered an extra large supreme pizza (my favorite pizza) Their pizza isn’t half bad.  Jessica had ordered cute cupcakes as well.  I really enjoyed visiting with everyone.  I also ran into an old friend Ray and his family celebrating his grandchild’s 5th birthday.

Happy Valentines Day

My husband out did himself this year for Valentines Day.  I was extremely surprised by my flowers and candy bouquet.  I am not going to lie it brought tears to my eyes.  I know Mr.C. Loves me by everything he does for me. This though was unexpected and I was in disbelief by his generosity.

Valentine’s Day is all about love.  Today my heart beat a little faster and I could feel the love my husband has for me.  He had already bought me a red Keurig for Valentine’s Day as mine had stopped working several days ago.

Love my stuffed puppy, we have named him puppy love.  ðŸ’— 💗  The candy bouquet even had a small balloon in it along with chocolates, nuts, gummies and chips.

Rejected job offer

I received my rejected email on WFM workforce coordinator today.  I am very grateful to have had the experience to interview for the position.  I did a decent interview. Was proud of myself for taking a jump and going outside my comfort zone.

I will say the hours would have been different for me as they are 10am till 7pm, with no chance of that changing.  That would be an issue with me wanting to do things with grandchildren in evenings.  But if I had got the job I would have made it all work out.

My biggest takeaway is never just settle.  If a job opening comes up and you’re interested fill out that application. What do you have to lose by taking a chance?  In future if there is any openings somewhere else that catches my attention you better believe I will fill out that application form.

Although to tell you the truth I do love my department and my manager Sherry.  Plus the pay is pretty darn decent.  Working at a call center can be very stressful but in all reality what job isn’t stress free?
