Sunday Funday at Norman Oklahoma

Cherrie has been wanting to try Victoria’s Pasta Shop.  The decor was okay, basic and plain. Personally the decor doesn’t have to be off the charts if food is great.  The hostess and servers were friendly.

The garlic cheese bread was served first. It was delicious!

The presentation was good.  I ordered the Primavera. It’s spaghetti with carrots, broccoli and mushrooms tossed with lemon-garlic butter. The dish looked better than it tasted.  I would say I have had better microwave meals.  I was disappointed to say the least. I had looked at reviews and knew that many people felt the same way. I am the type of person who will still try new experiences because mine could be different. Unfortunately my opinion is the same as many others not worth going back to try if food has improved.

This is a cute bike rack downtown Norman. Love the uniqueness of the bike racks on Main Street.
Cherrie and I also went to Ollie’s, Ross and Burlingtons.  I wasn’t thrilled buying a couple of outfits for Wesley, Angel and Clifford for back to school. Overall the day was good!
Now I need to plan our next Sunday Funday!! I think we are going to not go anywhere this coming Sunday. I know that will make my husband happy.

More birthday Shenanigans

My first time at World Market at Norman, Oklahoma. I was really impressed with everything they had. The variety blew my mind.

Loved browsing thru all the rea section. I picked up some cute stationery for my pen pal letters.

Yes I took another selfie while in store. Got to make memories as well as capture them as well.

I should have bought me a wine.  Everyone knows how much I like my wines.

Haven’t been to Barnes and Nobles in several years. They had quite a bit of spicy books on display.

Met up with Cherrie’s so. Cory and Hailey and her boys for dinner at Red Lobster. Had a great visit.

My favorite Chicken Alfredo.

Was a wonderful Sunday!

Friday night shenanigans

Cherrie and I made a quick run to Lawton Oklahoma tonight. We stopped at Home Depot to get Cherrie some flooring for her bathroom. I also looked at the new refrigerators. There was several that was in my range, but I wasn’t 100% sure that they would fit in my spot.
We then went to S & B burgers for dinner. I really like the hamburgers there as well as the ambience. This is our second time to go here. They were busy, but it didn’t take long for him to get our food out. And our waitress was really quick and friendly.

The decor takes me back to high school days. I really liked th older bands as well as the big hair bands.

Cherrie is extremely tired in this picture. She has been working nearly 80 hours a week at two different jobs. If she knew I was posting this picture, she would probably not like it. This is a real life though.

I thought the hostess stand was cute so of course I took a picture of it.
We didn’t stay out very late. I was back at home by 9 PM. What I do know is that I do not like Lawton at dark. There is just a lot that goes on over there, especially with it being a Military base.  When we left the restaurant some random man tried talking to Cherrie. That kinda freaked us out.  He was on foot didn’t look homeless but one never knows what other people is thinking.
Our evening out was much needed as we needed to catch up on our personal lives. Plus it had been several weeks since we had been on an outing.

A yard decorated for Halloween

Cherrie and I was headed back to Marlow Oklahoma on back roads from Norman, Oklahoma. When we came across this decorated yard. I turned around so I could take a few pictures.

Love the creativity that others share with us.

The headless horseman was so cool to see. The owners did such a wonderful job on their outside decorations. Makes me wonder if they do the same inside the house?

Have you seen any cool outside decorations this year.

Sunday Funday

It’s been awhile since Cherrie and I have had a Sunday Funday.  I enjoy our girl outings.  Just seems as we get older the less time we are going and doing stuff.  For me I really enjoy my time at home.  Although I am making myself be more active this summer, on a budget.

Our first stop was to spend $50.00 gift card that Mr. C.  Got as his Father’s Day gift from Alisha & Jonathan.  Just keep in mind I am not familiar with the different types of fishing tackle.  I wrote down what he wanted before leaving the house.  Once at Bass Pro it was like a scavenger hunt.  I have no clue what Hula poppers, crank bait, braided line would be located.  Thankfully Cherrie knew what Hula poppers looked like and she found them fairly fast. We were able to find many crank bait tackle on our own. Unfortunately we had to get help on finding the last several items on our list.

Have you had a chance to visit a Bass Pro Shop.  So many things to buy and see.  My absolute favorite one is in Shreveport La.  Although I haven’t been back in several years.  I was always able to find fishing items on sale.

These are a few items I bought for myself.  Mr.C’s pile had more items than mine.  I try to only buy pretty tackle.  Sometimes that’s not possible.  Currently am locating a few more metallic blue items.  Feel like I have a good amount of pink and purple fishing tackle.
