Happy Valentine's Day!

I can't believe it is Valentine's Day already.  I gave Mr.C his valentine gifts last night.  He isn't one who likes or accepts gifts easy.  I am wanting him to take me to Interurban for dinner this weekend.
I like flowers but would rather have time with him.

What is your normal for Valentine's Day?  This is my second year of NOT working at the flower shop.  Which is bittersweet but yet I am looking forward to my future.

Valentine baskets

These are a few of the Valentine baskets I put together at Linda's Flowers this weekend.  As many knows I quit working at the flower shop last January.  Best decision I had made in many years.  I called Tammie and asked if she needed any help for the weekend.  Of course she said yes.  I have missed the creativity side of the flower shop.  I enjoyed visiting with Tammie, Mildred and Sharla.  

Would I consider going back and working in a flower shop...Nope not at this point.  Was very nice to put together the baskets but don't want to go backwards in my journey.  As I am thinking to the future.

My Saturday coupon haul.

I only paid only $23.09 for my items.

I am trying to slowly get my stock pile built back up. As you can tell this week it was all about laundry soap.  We tend to go thru laundry soap like it's water.  Am hoping this will last us a couple of weeks.  

I am currently only using digital coupons.  This is the second time I have tried using Family Dollar.   I have found that the store seems cleaner than Dollar General.   But I will coupon at where ever I can  to save money on items that we use regularly.  

I am thinking I pretty much saved 50% or close to it.

I love my little area of peace and relaxation.  I love the beach and going on cruises! 

So I brought it to my cubicle.  I have several decorations still at home that I haven't brought up here yet.  

We are getting a new building and I really need to think of a theme for when we get moved over there. Unless I want to buy some new beach items for my cubicle.  I got several of these pieces at Hobby Lobby. 

If you have ever worked in a call center you know how stressful it can be.  No two calls are the same.  This little zone helps remind me that I am saving for my next cruise.

My son Aaron and Michelle house they bought.  Aaron is doing a total remodel on it on a budget.  These are the pictures I took today.  I can't wait to see the finished house.  

I plan on buying a few new items for them.  I know that Michelle wants some stand up lamps for their bedroom and Living room.  So I need to get busy and find some that we both like.  I do know that she likes the black base better.  

I also plan on buying some new blinds and kitchen items for them.  

I am so excited for them!! Lots of hard work going into their house.  I love that Aaron has bought them a starter home.  Way to go Aaron and Michelle!!!

Cherrie and Lexi and I went to Norman Okla for a girls day out.  We had so much fun!  We love eating at the Olive Garden and having a watermelon margarita. They are so yummy! 

Then we went to the mall and bought lots of goodies!   I even opened up a Victoria's Secret credit card! Oops my bad!!

Happy New Year!!

I am so glad to start a New Year.  I have lots of goals for this year.  My main one is getting my budget under control.  I really need to get my credit cards under control.  I like to spend money and then worry about the payments later.  I have two high interest cards I need to get paid down within the next six months.  Then I have a loan that has high interest rate that I will be paying on for 2 years. I did this to myself.  Time to start being a adult and get busy with my budget. 

Do you stick to a budget? I can do this because I want to keep my good credit rating that I worked so hard on getting. 

I also am wanting to go on one decent trip this year.  Which will be to New Orleans in February so I can see some of the Madri Gras parades.  Am super excited about this trip. 

I also plan on spending more time with my family.  I feel like I need to put them all on the front burner.  I am getting older and I really need to enjoy them as I grow old.
