The day with my BFF Cherrie

Spent the day with my BFF Cherrie. I think we had fun. We ran to Chickasha then we back tracked to Duncan. I got a manicure and pedicure while she took Brody to Rush Springs for me. We then went and ate at The China Buffet there in Duncan. The food is always good there. I ran into a ex brother in law Wayne haven't seen him in years. He seems happy and that is good to know. Then Cherrie and I went to Fashion Bug. I bought 2 shirts for fall, 1 summer shirt, a pair of jean capri's and a pair of white capri's also a cute purple purse that goes with the fall shirts! All for a grand total of $62.00. If I had paid full price it would have been around $150.00. I am feeling good about my bargin shopping.
Tonight Luther comes home and I am trying to get supper cooked and house cleaned. We are having Mexican Casserole. Yummy

Football game..

Trevor had a football game this evening. It was Bray~Doyle against Minco. I hate to say it but they won 54 to 0. They beat us down big time! He was mad ALL over. He kept telling me that he had no blocker ...looked like to me he had no help on the field at all. That boy plays his heart out on that field. The high school coach is already got his eye on him. Do I want him to be a all star football player? I am not sure, although Blake was picked as all star player his senior year. But this is my baby we are talking about!
Hey I actually added a photo to the blog! Yea for me!! I can do it but was a chicken to even try!! So hopefully my blogs will be more interesting with some photos with them!! Yes I am very proud of myself!!
Today I got a pen~pal letter from Ca !! I love getting her letters, I feel like we are truly friends. She writes as if I know her family and in a way I feel as if I do! I even started a letter back to her today. Our letters are always long and chatty.
I spent time with Coby and Kaylee today. Picked them up so they could go watch Trevor play football. Aaron and Coby was to busy visiting with girls..Kaylee running and trying to keep up with the boys. I supose it is like a social gathering for the teens...

Friday Night Football

Tonight Aaron and Trevor are at the Rush Springs football game. I hope they are having a good time. I don't usually let them stay at the game by themselves. I believe that at 15 years old and 12 years old they can handle it. I am home relaxing and working on the computer, playing frontierville, doing swap~bot, and now doing my blog.

Today was a good mail day. I received a pen pal letter and a package from swap~bot. Was surprised to get fun mail. In my package I got some cute blank recipe cards. Just in time for a swap that I am doing for crock pot recipes.

Have had some good phone calls today. I have talked to my sweetie Mr. C., and my brother Stacy and my BFF Cherrie. This has been since 7:30 pm. I love these people very much. They complete my life.

It's now 9pm and I need to go get the boys from the game. Am keeping my fingers crossed that Aaron will spend the night with Coby (my nephew). It depends on if Laura will let him, he has been staying almost every weekend with them.

One of my goals this weekend is to make up some envelopes. I have used up all that I had on hand. It doesn't take long and they look so good when mailing.

Being a mom means being on the road.

I have learned today that being a mom means being in the car for hours. I went to pick up the boys from school (left my house at 2pm). It is a 25 minute drive out to their school. Then we drove to town and picked up Blake. Drove to Chickasha OK about a hour drive to get Trevor's new ATT phone fixed. He has only had it 9 days.....Then drove up to EL Reno to Phil's Cycle & ATV. Blake swears that this is the place to buy all the parts he needs. Never mind that Duncan OK which is like right down the road ( 20 minutes or so from my house) but never keeps enough parts on hand. Although they are always willing to order them in, not fast enough for my oldest son. Then we left El Reno and headed back out to Bray~Doyle where Trevor could do the last 30 minutes of football practice. He got done at 8:30 pm and I was glad:) Home sweet home here I come. So from 2:00pm till 9:2o I was in my car so to speak.

Got Mr. C off to work. I know he dreads the 7 hour drive down to Mansfield La. I can tell the last day before he leaves how much he dreads going. I hate to see him leave on Thursday's

I am going to go lay down I am tired and need some beauty sleep! Sweet dreams are sure to find me!!

Swap bot mail day!!

As you may know I am really into swap~bot. I spend a lot of time looking at swaps to enter and also looking at profiles with blogs. It keeps me entertained:)

Today I received 2 swaps. One was for a book swap. The book I ended up with is Club Dead by Charlaine Harris. She is a favorite author of mine. I can't wait to start reading it, which will be tonight while Mr. C is watching his daughter cheer at a football game. I am going to grab a glass of wine and settle in on the love seat and read for a couple of hours.

The other swap I received was a private swap I did with PATUMMA. Wow I was blew away with all the goodies she sent me. The cute pink princess box with a rubber stamp set, with blank cards to use, also there was princess items in there as well. The box was completely full of goodness. I could tell she really read my profile and wanted to put a smile on my face. She hit my likes completely on the head. Thanks to both ladies very much!

Have been reading several new blogs today. I am amazed at how creative they are. I hope as time goes by my blog will grew as I learn to be more interesting.

I recieved this recipe with my book swap and wanted to share it with you ladies. It sounds wonderful for a cool fall evening. I am all about easy receipes.

County Chicken Chowder

Ingredients:
2 TBS butter
1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
2 cans (10 3/ oz each) crean if potato soup, undiluted
2 small onions, chopped
2 ribs celery, sliced
2 small carrots, sliced
2 cups frozen corn
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 tsp dried dill weed
1/2 cup half and half

Directions:

Melt butter in a large skillet. Add chicken; cook until browned. Add cooked chicken, onions, celery, carrots, corn, soup, chicken broth and dill to slow cooker.

Cover and cook on LOW 3~4 hours or until chicken is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.

Turn off heat; stir in half and half. Cover and let stand 5 to 10 minutes or just until heated through.

Doesn't that sound so very yummy? I am thinking I may go get the items tonight and put it on so it will be ready after the games tonight.

Mr. C bought us a new 42" flat screen TV and entertainment center this past Friday. We are loving it very much. We are down to buying a new bedroom suite and we should be done with furniture. We furnished one room at a time, which worked for our budget. I may end up having to buy Trevor a new bedroom suite but that will be in future.

Weekend again!

Mr. C and I went to Gainsville Texas for the weekend and had a great time! I think we confused our kids by not taking them with us. We really needed the time away from the daily routine. I was very surprised that he had planned this for us.

Tonight we are back home and I need to work on a few swaps for Swap~Bot. I am currently in three journal swaps. One is song lyric journal, one is a 30 day journal and the other is a long term journal.

I bought a Memory Makers book today and it is called Budget Scrapbooking, great ideas for scrapbooking on a shoestring. Just looking thru it I have found several ideals I can use in my journals to spice them up a bit. I am always looking for new inspirations.

We ate at a great BBQ place in Ardmore Oklahoma today called Budro's Rib Joint. It was great bbq!

Peaceful Sunday

What a blessed and peaceful day this has been for me. I have to admit I am a little bored but I have a few things I need to do for swap~bot before mail runs in the morning. I am finishing up on a journal. Looking thru the finished journal I wish I had been a little more creative with it. Hope the reciever will enjoy the effort I put into it.
Have text Mr C. all day long. He is bored at work and I am bored at home. He wasn't seeing my viewpoint at all because he would LOVE to be home with me instead of working. Just 4 more days till he returns home.
Aaron and Trevor stayed the night with Granpa Kendall last night. I told Trevor I would give him $20.00 if he would stay home with me. He wouldn't accept the bribe at all. Good grief...if that had been me at 11 years old I would have taken the money.
My house is clean and spotless:) I have done dishes, made my bed, did 3 loads of laundry, and wiped down the cabinets and counters. Yea!! Tomorrow I have large load of items to take to goodwill. I have decluttered my craftroom, our bedroom, the laundry room and Trevor's bedroom. Even Alisha has decluttered and rearranged her bedroom, first time in along time that it has been cleaned. Am very proud of everything that we got accomplished.
