Sunset in Oklahoma

How beautiful is this sunset here at our local lake in Oklahoma?  Sometimes I forget to get outside and enjoy the sunrises and sunsets.  I know when I am on a cruise I tend to be outside on the balcony watching as the sunrises or sunsets. At home I forget to get outside and enjoy the beauty we are blessed to witness. 

The colors in this sunset are beautiful. The magic of the colors in the sky during this time, takes my breath away. I really need to be more focused on the sky and how vibrant it can be over the lake. 

The sunsets are never the same. They are all special but tonight the sunset just feels different more special than ever. It’s so peaceful to take in the evening sky. 

Do you favor the sunrises or the sunsets? They both are incredible to see and experience. My suggestion to each one of you is to watch the sunset every once in awhile. Its fleeting beauty will catch your breath. The promise of a new day ahead with endless possibilities is waiting for us. 

 

Brooks T~Ball game

My grandson Brooks last T~Ball game.  He really has improved from the start of the season. I can tell he was done for the season. 

I’m not a hat kind of girl,but it’s hot today. Don’t need to burn my face, especially as I am getting older. Definitely need to protect myself. Plus the pain of a sunburn isn’t something I want to deal with if at possible.

Was nice to visit with Blake,Jessica, Hattie and John & Sheey.  In fact today is John’s birthday!  Was surprised to see them at the ballpark.

We bought a pink high chair, 7 outfits, 2 packages of diapers, Aveno lotion, a fan for the stroller, book for baby and a mauve baby blanket.

 

Chickasha Wings & Wheels

This is my 2nd time to attend the Chickasha Air and car show.  Brenda my cousin went with me. We really had a great time walking around looking at the planes, cars and vendors.  My favorite is always the fun little freebies they give out.  This year I got a charger, 2 totes, color changing cup, ink pens, koozies, and some literature for my journals. 

This would be great for a few of my grandchildren to do. Next year I think I will see who wants to attend with me. Am sure Angel and Wesley would enjoy the airplane ride. 

Absolutely my favorite car this time around. 

I tell Luther he should make his truck a hooky truck for car shows.  Our main hold back would be the funds.  It would be quite a bit of money to get it car shows ready.

I a. Always thrown by the big vehicles the Grady County Sheriff Department has in their fleet. 

Planes are everywhere.  It’s hard to just pick out a few favorites. So I a. Including the ones that caught my eye. 

This plane has a lot of history behind it. Devil Dog Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force.

The Doolittle Raid 

The Doolittle raiders strike Japan April 18, 1942.

Blended Love food truck was our choice for lunch. Brenda and I both ate the jambalaya with a piece of  fried chicken.  The flavors was good with the right amount of spicy.  The real question is would I eat from this food truck again? Yes I would if I was wanting Nigerian Creole food.

I really enjoyed the air show.  It’s amazing the trucks these pilots can do up in the sky.  I won’t lie I was impressed when it looked like they were headed straight to the scene of the crash and pulled up. The 6 planes flying in formation was great. I have seen scenes on TV but never in real life.  

This air show was definitely worth attending.  Especially for it being a free event for the community. I have already put it my planner for next year.  I’m really proud of Chickasha Oklahoma on the events they do thru the year.

 

Brody turns 32!

Elizabeth and Charles sure setting up the room for Brody’s birthday party.  Brody wanted Pizza Hut.  We had the private room which gave Lane and Landon room to wander around freely.  Elizabeth brought coloring books and transformers for the boys activities. 

I must say the noise blowers was Lanes favorite.

Brody loves to fish.  The birthday cake Elizabeth and boys designed is perfect. Lane at first said he wanted his dad to have a Superman cake. Then said his daddy loved to fish.

Overall the evening celebration was great.  Lots of laughter along with memories being shared. I am so proud of Brody and the life he is building for himself and his family. Happy birthday Brody!
